Developed in the Netherlands, Superbus is an eco-friendly concept that offers a new take on public transportation. It has room for 23 passengers, and its 16 doors (pictured above) give it the appearance of a monster DeLorean. It runs on rechargeable battery power, but is also capable of speeds of up to 250 kilometers (155 miles) per hour.
Will it make the journey across the Atlantic to North America? Time will tell, but it’s a pretty cool concept that harnesses the power of electricity over gasoline.
The Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been an annual tradition for over 100 years. This year’s show opened to the public today, and it will run all the way until Sunday, February 19. We’ll be posting our impressions over the next week.
